BSc. Mechatronics Engineering
Universidad de Ingeniería y Tecnología - UTEC
Lima, Peru 🇵🇪
During high school I excelled at Math and Science, especially Physics. My passion for technology
and programming determined my decision to pursue a career in engineering.
Universidad de Ingeniería y Tecnología (UTEC) granted me a full scholarship that is currently allowing me
to pursue a degree in Mechatronics Engineering, where I am currently outstanding as the first place of my 2018 class.
My foremost objective has always been to have a significant impact on my community to positively change it through the promotion of science,
and the development and contribution of cutting-edge technology provided by the applications of robotics and computer vision,
due to its transformative power in a wide range of sectors in Peru, such as education, automotive, agriculture, security, automation, etc.
That is why during my journey at UTEC I have worked on two pillar that guide my professional development:
the continuous quest to work on more challenging projects and the desire to serve and lead a community to achieve a collective goal.
The former is exemplified through the projects I developed in conjunction with institutions such as UTEC, AGP Group,
Geophysical Institute of Peru and Smithsonian Institution. While the latter is demonstrated with my leadership in
extracurricular activities such as UTEC Student Representative, GIIT Robotics, Edukay, Engineers Without Borders,
where I outstand the successful results, awards and, the most importantly, the sharing of knowledge.
As a BSc. in Mechatronics Engineering I have explored topics related to mechanics, electronics and software. During my journey at UTEC I have developed many projects on those areas, but my main interests rely on the intersection of Robotics and Computer Vision. Specifically, in the perception for autonomous robots:
